Back Mike's campaign to make the 0.7% aid target law

Liberal Democrats believe in helping the world's poorest. That's why we insisted the Conservatives stick to the UK's target of spending 0.7% of income on international aid.

Lib Dem MP Mike Moore wants to go further and make this target law, so that the UK meets it year after year.

He has introduced a bill to Parliament, but some Conservatives are trying to stop it passing by 'filibustering' - basically using up all the time for debate by talking so that there can't be a vote. This is yet another example of Tories becoming more extreme in reaction to the rise of UKIP.

We the undersigned call on the Conservatives to stop pandering to UKIP by blocking Mike Moore's aid bill. We fully support Mike's bill, which will guarantee that the UK meets it's target of spending 0.7% of income on aid every year.
