Leader’s Research Officer and Parliamentary Assistant to Tim Farron MP (Westminster, London)

Closing Date: 19th February 2016

This is a key position, with two distinct sets of responsibilities, which would suit someone who is capable of clear prioritisation and who is interested in politics at every level – from the constituency to the national arena.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to work under pressure and a clear grasp of the issues of the day and their political implications. They will understand the need to ensure Tim’s constituency profile is maintained in Parliament and will be equally committed to supporting him in his role as Leader of the Liberal Democrats.

Note: Please note that as the post holder will be employed in a split role, two separate contracts – one with the Parliamentary Office of the Liberal Democrats (POLD) and one with Tim Farron MP [facilitated by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Association (IPSA)] – will be required.

You are advised to read the full job description before applying for this position.
