PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATES ASSOCIATION

The Parliamentary Candidates Association exists to be the voice of Liberal Democrat candidates.  The PCA aims to attract, encourage and sustain a talented team of parliamentary candidates for Westminster, European, Scottish parliaments and Welsh assembly elections.

The PCA aims to equip individuals with the skills to become approved Liberal Democrat candidates, get selected, win elections and, not least, to be key members of existing and future Liberal Democrats ruling groups and governments.

The PCA provides support, advice, training and briefing for all approved candidates. It organises conferences on party policy and media relations and works closely with the Liberal Democrat Candidates' Office to provide publications and training.

The PCA also represents the interests of candidates on internal party committees, organises an annual reception in the House of Commons and receptions/training at the Party's federal conferences.

Premium paying members (sub. £25 p.a.) receive up to 8 issues of Parliamentary Briefing each year along with other privileges.  Further information about the PCA and electronic editions of the Parliamentary Campaigner are available by registering on the PCA website www.libdempca.org.uk.
