A More Liberal Approach to Drugs - Panel Discussion, Oxford West & Abingdon Lib Dems

With the government looking to provide more licenses for medicinal cannabis, is it time for the UKs approach to drugs to be more liberal?

What the problems with current policy?

How does drug use impact on health, crime, housing and employment and what changes should be made to keep people safe?

Join the Oxford West and Abingdon Lib Dems for this interesting panel discussion!

We are lucky to have an excellent panel for what promises to be an interesting debate about drugs policy, what the Liberal Democrat position is and should be.

Panel members:

  • Lord Brian Paddick - Formerly Deputy Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police and a candidate for Mayor of London, now the Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Home Affairs in the House of Lords.
  • Anne-Marie Cockburn - Campaigner for safer drugs laws and education (www.anyoneschild.org)
  • Eleanor Vogel - Oxford based GP who has recently completed a Master's in Health Policy, Planning and Financing

£5 entry on the door, and a light meal available for an additional £5.  RSVP so we know how many to cater for!  More HERE
