With 101 days to go to the referendum, it is time to start the campaign to keep the UK in the European Union in earnest. We will be having our first meeting this Sunday upstairs at the Harrow, near Harrow on the Hill station, at 11 AM. Come along and bring your friends and familly, even if you are undecided on the issue or unsure of whether or not you would like to participate in the campaign. This will be primarily an information meeting, where the goal is to discover what the EU is, how it works, and what it does for us. There will then be ample opportunity to discuss the issue over lunch. I will also be providing a selection of information packs and documents for you to look over.
After the meeting, at around 3PM, we will be going out into the streets to talk to people about the EU. Details are to be confirmed, but hopefully we should have a stall with some flyers and infographics to show people, and of course a sign up sheet, both for the campaign and for the Lib Dem party. I will be following up with a precise location for this by the end of the week.
You are of course welcome to come to either or both of these events. Please do let me know if you intend to come to the meeting. An estimate of numbers would be generally useful. But if you only decide on the day, come along and we will happily find a seat for you.
