Andrew moved to Bristol in 2010 and has lived in the Totterdown and Knowle areas of the constituency since doing so, becoming an active member of his community. He works in financial services, preparing investment reviews and recommendations for a firm of financial advisers. In this role he enjoys the opportunity to apply his analytical and technical skills to create plans that will work help clients meet their objectives.
Within the Liberal Democrats, Andrew has been a member of his local party executive for some years in various roles. He is also involved with LGBT+ Lib Dems and other party bodies. His key political interests are in the areas of Human and Civil Rights and creating opportunity for everyone with the state supporting and enabling people to reach their potential.
Aside from Brexit, he sees addressing climate change, investing in left-behind areas, and inter-generational issues as the main challenges for the nation in the coming years. Liberalism is about empowerment, fairness and co-operation for the benefit of all. At a time when the Tories are letting down the country and Labour are letting down the City, he is standing for those Liberal values in tackling the biggest issues of our age.
Outside of politics, Andrew is an avid reader and audio-book listener, enjoys concerts and festivals, comedy gigs, and follows American Football, although his fantasy team's performance could be better!
