Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 (Depending on experience)

South Gloucestershire Liberal Democrats are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and well-organised team-player to be our Campaigns Organiser.

The successful candidate will play a key role in our 2018/19 local election campaign and help us to win back Thornbury & Yate at the next general election. This is a demanding role, but would be ideal for someone who loves politics and shares Liberal Democrat values.         

Working closely with our volunteer campaign team, councillors and candidates, you will be responsible for managing the logistics and delivery of our campaigns. Good communication skills are essential as you will be responsible for recruiting, training and organising volunteers.

You will be responsible for designing campaign literature and crafting effective political messages, so experience of graphic design software is desirable. Equally, experience of using social media as a campaigning tool would be a strong advantage.

You must have strong IT skills as you will oversee our website and data management, including ensuring that the party complies with data protection legislation. You will be offered training on our systems and data protection.

Although South Gloucestershire borders Bristol, it is a semi-rural area with limited public transport. Candidates must have a car in order to attend meetings and transport literature throughout the area.

You must be prepared to work some weekends and evenings as required, with time off in lieu.

The post is full time and is based in an office in Iron Acton. The post is initially until June 2019 but could be extended or made permanent in the future.
