Here's your opportunity to pitch your ideas about how to make Hackney, London and the UK better!
This is our first ever Pitch event in the Borough and we're really keen to get our members along and sharing ideas. See below for information for the how the night will run.
There will be three rounds:
Round One | Hackney policies
Round Two | National policies
Round Three | Wildcard - let's see on the night!
It's also a great opportunity to meet other members and really get the ball rolling on showing how Liberal policies can change lives for the better in real, practical ways. We need them - and you - more than ever.
If you have any questions, please do email email@example.com or see Facebook.com/LiberalPitch
Organised by Christopher Adams (Hackney Exec/London Exec) and Chris Hudson (Southwark Exec/London Exec)
Have an idea to make people’s lives better? Want to influence Liberal policy?
Pitch your ideas and get your voice heard!
The Liberal Pitch is a fun event of quick-fire policy proposition and debate.
The rules are simple...
A policy is pitched in under 30 seconds.
No anecdotes, comparisons, or problems. Just solutions.
People speak for and against it in under 30 seconds!
Then, everybody votes!
The policy is judged by Liberal ideals. Does it make us more free? Is it fair on society? You could begin, “People should be able to...”
If your policy makes it through, we’ll make sure our leaders hear about it!
If you don’t want to speak in front of everyone, you can write down your policies and points in a ‘Paper Pitch’ to be delivered by the host.
