Claire has lived in Crystal Palace since 2013 and is proud to call this area of London her home. She has almost 20 years’ experience working in the voluntary sector, championing the causes of children, the elderly and victims of crime, homelessness and poverty, around the world. She currently has a national role leading on volunteering for The Salvation Army across the UK and Ireland.
In her spare time she volunteers to support victims of human trafficking and sings with a London-based choir. She loves walking in this amazing city, having recently completed the Capital Ring Walk around London in preparation for a fundraising walk across the Alps where she raised over £2000 for victims of modern slavery.
Claire is passionate about empowering and enabling communities to bring creative solutions to local issues and believes in the power of volunteering to effect local change.
In 2018 she stood as the Lib Dem local council candidate in Crystal Palace and Upper Norwood, beating the Tories into third place.
Labour have taken this area for granted for too long. If elected, Claire will be a voice for the residents of Croydon North - she will work hard, collaboratively and with imagination to ensure that decisions are taken with real local input, delivering real local improvement in our services and environment.
