The data protection checklists are key documents to help your local party to understand the standards needed to be compliant with data protection regulations, and to ensure that all individuals working with personal data understand the procedures they need to follow.
There are two versions of the checklist. The first is a version for local Data Officers to use as a guide to understand your party’s strengths and areas where your party needs to take additional actions to become compliant. The Data Officer should aim to complete this checklist at least twice per year, and review any outstanding actions on a regular basis.
Note: We are aware that some local parties are struggling to find Data Officers. If your local party does not have a Data Officer yet, please delegate the responsibility for reviewing the checklist to an alternative Party Officer.
The second version is for all LPOs and other volunteers who need to access any personal data to support your local party with any tasks. Please read the initial guidance in the document very carefully then complete the checklist before starting any tasks involving personal data.
