Hot Potatoes - consultation on the Investigatory Powers Bill

Tickets: £7 including pizza and soft drinks

A consultation and discussion event on the Investigatory Powers Bill, referred to by critics as the 'Snooper's Charter'. Our guest is Lord Paul Strasburger, who is the Liberal Democrat member of the Joint Select Committee which scrutinised the Draft Investigatory Powers Bill.

Lord Strasburger will open the discussion with some introductory remarks, and we will then open to the floor for a wide ranging discussion on the Bill. He is keen to hear all your views on the Bill and the issues surrounding it

Advance booking is required, due to catering requirements. Please RSVP, below, call Glyn Ley on 01454 228937 or email glyn@southgloslibdems.org.uk.

Food will come in the form of a wide range of freshly-cooked pizzas, and soft drinks will be provided. Please inform Glyn if you have any specific dietary requirements. If you would like to come but have difficulties with transport, please do contact Glyn as lifts can easily be arranged.

Hot Potatoes is a series of regular political discussions run by South Gloucestershire Liberal Democrats to talk about topical issues of the day in a friendly, informal setting, over some food. You do not have to be a Liberal Democrat member to attend. All are welcome, including friends and family members.
