Cambridge Lib Dems - Education Policy Forum

The Liberal Democrats are committed to the values of liberty and equality.  Integral to these is an outstanding education system, enabling all people to reach their potential.

The UK education system has faced a barrage of changes at the hands of the current government.  From forced academisation to grammar schools, the issues and debates are widespread.

Following on from discussions with members old and new, we will be holding an Education Policy Forum to discuss some of these issues and how the Liberal Democrats can best support our schools, children and educators.

Date: 24.09.2016
Time: 2pm
Venue: St Andrew's Street Baptist Church

This event will feature key note speaker Cllr Peter Downes, Vice President of the LDEA and County Council Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Children and Young People and Cllr Lucy Nethsingha, Chair of the Federal Education Policy Working Group.  They are both keen to hear your ideas and use them to shape future party policy both locally and nationally.

I look forward to seeing you at this event.  If there is a particular issue you would like to be raised please let us know we will incorporate these to help shape our discussions.
