Jobseeker names will be blanked out to avoid discrimination

The names of jobseekers could be hidden from employers in a bid to cut discrimination, the Liberal Democrats announced.

Today the party’s members backed a ‘name-blank’ application form in the public sector at its Glasgow conference.

It was one of a number of Liberal Democrat measures agreed to improve equality. They include extending the Pupil Premium to all young carers and promoting apprenticeships for groups underrepresented in the labour market.
