Lesley Rollings is an experienced campaigner and councillor in the Gainsborough Constituency in Lincolnshire.
A former teacher, Lesley now works for the national STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) project. The role involves her working with businesses and schools and along with her teaching experience has given her first- hand experience of the challenges faced by local families, businesses and schools.
She is deputy leader of the opposition group on the District Council, Chair of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and a former Mayor of Gainsborough.
Lesley represents the Scotter and Blyton Ward where she lives with her husband and where they have brought up their three children. As Chair of Gainsborough Town Council, she is largely credited with leading the turnaround of the Council when it was on the brink of bankruptcy in 2012.
She has a background in Sport and has been responsible for bringing a number of new sporting facilities to the town of Gainsborough. She campaigns and lobbies for safer roads in the constituency and is passionate about making the Gainsborough constituency a place where everyone can live healthily, thrive and prosper.
She is a member of the Green Liberal Democrats and Greenpeace.
