Lisa lives in Knebworth, which is within the Stevenage constituency. She is an effective and well regarded Councillor at North Herts District Council, representing the views of the residents of Knebworth ward. She understands the issues that matter to locals in the town as well as the rural areas.
Lisa is a midwife and works as a midwifery lecturer. She has been a police special and a volunteer for St John’s ambulance. She is a single mum to a child with special needs so has a good understanding of the challenges that many people face.
Lisa sees the devastating effects that the under-funding has had on the public services and is determined that the balance is rectified to ensure that the NHS is protected; our children get the education they deserve; our police force is fairly funded; our environment is protected and that housing needs are met. When out meeting residents they have said that these are the issues that matter most to them too and she will therefore be focusing on these if she is elected as the MP.
She is described as passionate, energetic, tenacious and always ready to challenge, which will enable her to work effectively as an MP. Lisa is hard working and believes that she will be able to make a huge positive difference to the constituency and wants to demand better for the residents of the Stevenage constituency.
