Local Party Officer Support
Welcome to the online resource library for Local Party Officers!
Congratulations on being elected as a Local Party Officer, and thank you for taking on this responsibility.
This page contains everything you need to know about taking on your new role.
You can also join the Local Party Officers facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/219257288406192 to get support from other local party officers.
As a Local Party Officer you may be approached by members who are struggling with their mental health or need support. You should direct people to the resources available at www.libdems.org.uk/getting-support-when-you-need-it and www.libdems.org.uk/complaints-compliments
If you think anything is missing, or if you have any questions, please get in touch at [email protected]
Every Local Party works slightly differently to take into account their different circumstances, ambitions and volunteers. But there are a few key tasks that every Local Party should be doing, and a smaller number of things that all Local Parties must do to meet legal and constitutional requirements.
You can see these laid out throughout the year here https://www.libdems.org.uk/year-in-the-life-of-an-lpo
