Nukey Proctor was inspired to stand as a Liberal Democrat candidate in Coventry North-East when she recognised that this modern, vibrant city needs new leadership with new ideas.
As a Senior Programme Management Consultant with extensive experience in the IT sector, she has spent her career helping public sector organisations deliver complex technology projects that transform their organisations. This has included first-hand experience working with Central Government, the health service and the justice system, helping them improve their ability to deliver their services.
Having graduated with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, Nukey has particular insight into the healthcare sector and is a passionate advocate for the NHS, which she champions as an Executive member of the Liberal Democrat Health and Care Association.
In addition to her interest in health, she is also an advocate of supporting the development of young people. In recent years she has supported the WISE Campaign which encourages girls into STEM careers, been a Brightside Mentor helping young people understand the world of work and become a School Governor to a local primary school. She has also worked with or supported many other charities including FirstHand UK, the IRC and EveryChild.
Nukey Proctor is the Vice-Chair of the Coventry Liberal Democrats and stood for election to Coventry City Council in 2018 and 2019. She is proud to have been selected to stand in Coventry East and is excited at the opportunity to represent the diverse, forward-looking and hard-working residents that make up this historic city.
