Liberal Democrats

New Members welcome meeting

Welcome event, this Friday, 12th June; here is an update on the plans for the evening. Doors open from 19:00hrs to 22:00hrs (7.00 to 10.00 pm) at The Telford Centre, Menai Bridge, opposite Waitrose. Parking is available over the road in the Car Park beside the Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant. The event is being organised by Andrew Joyce and on arrival there will be food in the form of a choice of meat or vegetable lasagne with vegetarian quiche followed by a selection of puddings and fresh fruit. We would ask for a voluntary donation, in the order of £7.00 each, to help with the funding of this event. It is intended to be an informal occasion, structured around an update by two of our Liberal Democrat AMs; Aled Roberts and Bill Powell, of their work within the Welsh Assembly. Then we are planning a Knowledge Café or World Café discussion to provide an open and creative conversation on a topic of mutual interest, to share ideas and insights, and gain a deeper understanding of the subject and the issues involved; coordinated by our bright, young, Bangor City Councillor, Rhys Taylor! We are hoping this will give everyone an opportunity to chat with our County Councillors Aled Morris Jones (Anglesey County Council), Rhys Taylor (Bangor City Council) and our three General Election candidates: Cllr Mohammed Shultan (Arfon) who represents Hendre Ward, Cllr Steve Churchman (Dwyfor Meirionnydd) who represents Dolbenmaen Ward and Mark Rosenthal (Ynys Môn).
