Stephen was born and raised in Newcastle upon Tyne and studied Politics at the University of Manchester. With a background in campaigns, policy and public affairs, Stephen currently works for a campaign to encourage more women to pursue careers in STEM. A passionate North East native, Stephen’s political interests include devolution, education and the future world of work. In his spare time, Stephen enjoys watching his beloved Newcastle United play, visiting sites of historical interest across the North East, and live music.
Stephen's top political priorities - other than stopping Brexit - are:
- ensuring everyone has access to good-quality education and training opportunities;
- building better transport links across the North East, especially in rural areas; and
- developing our green economy, creating the good-quality jobs and building the green infrastructure a 21st century economy needs to thrive.
