Liberal Democrats

Why renew your membership?

Liberal Democrats believe in a Britain of equality, openness and kindness. A Britain with clean air, high-quality health and social care, transport and education. A global Britain that is a part of the European Union.

We are the party taking on power and privilege to restore fairness and opportunity for everyone.

By being a member, you are a part of that.

Unsure of the benefits?

There are many! Here are just a few:

  • Vote on party policy
  • Vote in leadership elections
  • Propose policies
  • Access party training
  • Campaign in your community
  • Be a part of your local party executive
  • Stand as a council or parliamentary candidate

By renewing your membership you get to contribute to what comes next, for the party and for country.

Want to change the amount you pay?

What you pay for membership is up to you.

Membership starts at £1 a month (£12 a year) with the recommended rate at £6 per month (£72 a year).

Concessionary subscriptions of £6 are available to those under 26 and recipients of state benefits (excluding the state pension or child benefits).

You will be able to choose how much you pay when proceeding through the renewal process.

Where does my money go?

Unlike the Tories, we don’t rely on a small number of super-wealthy donors. Unlike Labour, we don’t rely on the trade unions.

Everything we do relies on funds from our members. Membership fees go directly towards making sure we’re ready to fight and win elections.
