If you are aged 26 to 30, you can now opt into Young Liberal membership!

We are a growing group of students and young professionals in the party, with a focus on helping our members succeed at what they want to achieve within the party.

We’ve helped to elect more young people to councils around the UK

As part of our Young and Winning scheme, we’ve helped to elect more young people to councils around the UK, holding campaign events and offering financial support, helping to address the issues of under-representation and the problems that come from that.

We also help to shape party policy, debating motions put forward by our members at our own conferences and submitting motions and amendments to Federal conferences. In the last year alone, we’ve added pushing for more support for young carers and ending unpaid internships to the party’s policy book and manifesto.

Our accredited branch scheme provides resources and access to some funding to help you set up a Young Liberals group in your area, recruiting more young members to the party.

We want to help the party develop its next generation of activists and get them where they want to be

On top of that, we’re a really friendly, inclusive bunch. We want to help the party develop its next generation of activists and get them where they want to be - so get involved!

Once you’ve signed up, you can join Young Liberals Forum, our space for young Liberal Democrats on Facebook. If you’re under 26, you’re already a member of Young Liberals and can join immediately. We’d love to have you involved and adding to the discussion!
