Policy Paper 151
England’s social care system is in crisis. Successive governments have failed to put the sector on a sustainable footing, and seriously tackle the challenges the sector faces. The Conservatives promised to fix social care ‘once and for all’ in 2019 but they have failed. The Liberal Democrats will build on our successes in government to give England the social care system that it needs and deserves.
This policy paper will be debated at the Liberal Democrats 2023 Spring Conference in motion F17.
