Inflation rise must be a wake-up call for Govt to go for growth with Europe

Responding to the rate of inflation rising to 3.1%, Liberal Democrat Treasury Spokesperson, Daisy Cooper MP, said:
“Trump’s illegal war - egged on by the Conservatives and Reform UK - is once again hitting British families hard. This must be a wake-up call for the Government.
"The biggest lever the new Chancellor could pull at the Budget is to launch negotiations for a new Growth and Defence Deal with Europe, that can grow our economy and make it stronger in the face of global turmoil."
