Andrew Gwynne resignation: Country deserves so much better than this endless soap opera

Commenting after Andrew Gwynne has resigned, leading to a by-election in Gorton and Denton, Liberal Democrat Cabinet Office Spokesperson Lisa Smart MP said:

“This Labour government promised change, instead we’re seeing the same old chaos as under the Conservatives.

“Labour are too busy fighting amongst themselves instead of fixing the NHS or tackling the cost of living.

“People in Gorton and Denton and across the country deserve so much better than this endless soap opera.

“The Liberal Democrats will stand up for all those who are sick of the two main parties but are appalled by Nigel Farage and want to build a decent, caring country.”
