Dental price hike: The Govt has neglected our NHS dental services

28 Mar 2023

EMBARGO: Immediate Release

Responding to the news from the BDA that patient dental charges are increasing by 8.5% in April 2023, Liberal Democrat Health and Social Care Spokesperson Daisy Cooper MP said:

“The Government’s price hike for dental appointments now means that people are now literally paying through the teeth for the Government’s neglect of NHS dental services.

"As people struggle to pay their basic household bills, paying for dental treatment is now a luxury that only a few can afford.

“This appalling two tier system is a direct result of the Government running our health services into the ground for years. It’s time they came forward with a proper plan for dentistry, and they can start by scrapping this price hike.”
