Energy price cap: Trumpflation continues to bite

Responding to the news that household energy prices will rise by 13% a year in July, Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader and Treasury spokesperson Daisy Cooper MP said:

“Households right across the country are paying the price as Trumpflation continues to bite. Too many people are being trapped in constant anxiety over their energy bills.

“We will continue to be at the whim of volatile global markets and dictators like Putin until we completely break the link between electricity and gas prices.

“The Liberal Democrats have a plan to do this and a fully costed package to halve energy bills in the next decade.”
