GDP figures show economy stuck in "vicious cycle of decline"

Responding to the latest GDP figures showing the economy shrank by 0.3% in October, Liberal Democrat Treasury Spokesperson Sarah Olney MP said:

"These dismal figures show the economy is stuck in a vicious cycle of decline under the Conservatives.

"The government is totally failing to support families and businesses through the cost of living crisis.

"Instead of a proper plan to grow the economy, all we see is endless Conservative chaos, unfair tax rises and sky-high mortgage bills."
