Infected blood scandal report: Government must move at speed

Responding to the report into the timeliness of compensation for those affected by the infected blood scandal, Liberal Democrat Cabinet Office spokesperson Sarah Olney MP said:

“This scandal has ruined lives and left unimaginable pain in its wake, with far too many paying the ultimate price. The least that those impacted deserve is compensation to be paid to them as quickly as possible.

“These delays are completely unacceptable, with some who have passed away before ever being given even a slither of the justice they are owed.

“No longer can this delay be allowed to fester. The Government must move at speed to get victims the compensation they deserve as fast as possible.”
