Inflation statistics: Government must not be complacent but "stand up against Trump" to prevent future rises

Responding to the latest inflation figures Daisy Cooper MP, Liberal Democrat Treasury Spokesperson, said:
"With Trump’s damaging tariffs stirring up a storm in the global economy and threatening a new round of price rises, there's no time for complacency.
"Ministers must stand up against Trump’s bullying tactics, aimed at weakening our online safety laws, our food standards and our NHS.
"Instead, we should be rallying our European and Commonwealth friends in an economic coalition of the willing, to put an end to Trump’s destructive trade war."
