Lib Dems: the Conservatives should never again be allowed near power or our health

Responding to the findings of the COVID Inquiry today, Liberal Democrat Health Spokesperson Helen Morgan MP, said:

"Doctors and nurses left unsafe. Billions of pounds wasted. Our NHS left hopelessly vulnerable. The Conservatives' contemptible record of negligence has been laid bare. Never again should they be allowed near the levers of power or our health service. Kemi Badenoch should apologise to the NHS staff and patients who her party failed.

"The Prime Minister must confirm today that we have the supplies to withstand a future national emergency and that this scandal will never be repeated.”
