PM press conference ignored worries of Brits fearing spiralling costs of Trump’s war, says Davey

Responding to the Prime Minister’s press conference, Ed Davey, Liberal Democrat Leader, said:

“It’s right that we do all we can to protect British citizens and our brave Armed Forces who are now in the firing line of Donald Trump’s illegal war.

“But it is deeply disappointing that the Prime Minister had nothing to say to the millions of families and pensioners who now fear that heating costs could rise by hundreds of pounds.

“We will keep pressing for a cast-iron guarantee that struggling British people won’t pay the costs of Trump’s war through their energy bills.”
