Soaring borrowing is 'last thing we need' as families squeezed by ‘Trumpflation’

Responding to higher than expected Government borrowing costs in February, Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader Daisy Cooper MP said:

“Soaring borrowing costs is the last thing we need, as British families are being squeezed by Trumpflation and energy bills are set to skyrocket from the war in the Middle East.

“The only way we can bring borrowing under control and insulate ourselves from future shocks is to get Britain growing again. We desperately need the Chancellor to scrap her jobs tax and let businesses trade more easily by striking a new customs union deal with the EU.”
