Responding to David Lammy's comments that a UK-EU customs union would help to boost growth, Liberal Democrat Europe Spokesperson, Al Pinkerton MP said:
"First it was Keir Starmer’s chief economics adviser now it’s the deputy prime minister.
"The penny is dropping that a customs union is the best way to fix the economic problems plaguing Britain. It’s time for Lammy to put his money where his mouth is and vote with us on Tuesday on our crunch customs union bill."
