Prospective Westminster Parliamentary Candidate for South Dorset
The Local Party Executive of South Dorset Liberal Democrats invites applications for the selection of a Prospective Westminster Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency of South Dorset.
Applications must be received by the Returning Officer no later than 12 noon on 28th September 2026.
Though South Dorset currently has a Labour MP, our candidate achieved more than half of the winning candidate’s vote at the last election and the Liberal Democrats control Dorset Council and lead on Weymouth Town Council, the largest urban area in the constituency.

Separately, please email the following documents to the Returning Officer:
- Election Artwork: This should be a political CV, limited to a single side of A4 in PDF format. Full Colour allowed. Candidates are asked to explain within it what they would bring to South Dorset Liberal Democrats. This document will be included in the e-ballot and member mailing.
