Job Title: General Election Phone Mobilisation Manager
Responsible to: TBC
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Benefit: 3% employer’s pension contribution & HQ rewards package
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Tenure: Fixed term to next General Election + 1 month
Location: Home based with regular Head Office visits until the General Election, then office-based during the short campaign.
As our General Election Phone Mobilisation Manager, you will work in our Campaigns & Elections Field team to design and deliver a programme to mobilise our members and supporters to make phone calls for the Liberal Democrats. You will oversee the use of our database to maximise our phone banking potential, manage the relationship with commercial phone banking suppliers for the party, benchmark performance of telephone campaigns both volunteer and procured, and manage internal clients’ phone banking needs.
We are looking for a highly organised individual, capable of project planning involving multiple stakeholders, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced and complex environment.
You will need excellent written and verbal communications skills. A good temperament that allows you to deal with the unexpected is a must.
This role will suit someone with strong project management and personal organisation, who is capable of seeing complex projects from design to delivery. We are looking for a confident self-starter with strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
We are looking for someone to drive best value for the party’s investment in phone banking, including optimum targeting and best prices from suppliers.
Ideally you will have been part of multiple successful election campaigns and will have a strong understanding of what it takes to win. An understanding of elections, political campaigning, and the structures of the Liberal Democrats, will be a strong advantage.
