Mid Sussex Liberal Democrats are looking for a dynamic Campaign Organiser to be a key part of the team driving their General Election campaign in the Mid Sussex parliamentary seat (currently held by the Conservatives). The team currently consists only of unpaid volunteers. In the May 2023 local elections, the Liberal Democrats made extensive gains, taking 20 out of 48 seats on Mid Sussex District Council, becoming the largest party and taking control of the Council from the Conservatives, who had run the Council for a generation. As well as firmly establishing the Liberal Democrats as the leading party in local government in the area, the May results demonstrated the party’s ability to make powerful electoral gains across the Mid Sussex area on the back of sustained campaigning efforts.
In addition, the boundaries of the Mid Sussex parliamentary constituency have changed this year. The constituency area now covers the part of the Mid Sussex District which was most favourable to the Lib Dems in the May 2023 elections.
We are now putting together the team to build on that success at the General Election. Working directly to our campaign lead, the Campaign Organiser will be the lynch-pin of that team.
