The Liberal Democrats wish to minimise the impact of Federal Conference and strive to be more sustainable.
Sustainability policies:
The Brighton Centre
- Zero to landfill waste
- Energy is purchased from renewable sources
- Water fountains and recycling bins throughout the venue
- LED lighting throughout the venue

- certified carbon neutral hotel
- minimising the use of plastics as well as recycling paper, plastics, cardboard and glass
- promoting energy conservation and reducing energy consumption

How can you be more sustainable?
- Use public transport to get to and from the conference.
- If you are unable to use public transport, please try to car share by reaching out to your local party/ social media
- Use the agenda & directory online instead of paying for a hard copy
- Use the conference app instead of paying for a hard copy agenda & directory
- Bring your own water bottle and refill at the complimentary water stations in the venues
- Bring your own reusable, clean coffee cup (must be in good condition) which you can use when purchasing your coffee in the Brighton Centre. Alternatively buy a reusable cup at the Lib Dem Image exhibition stand
- Recycle any plastics, paper etc in the recycling bins at the official venues
- Go vegan/ vegetarian - eat plant based food
