Energy announcement: Real, meaningful and lasting support needed

Responding to the Government announcement that support for businesses with their energy bills is to be reduced from April, Liberal Democrat Business Spokesperson, Sarah Olney MP said:

“Thousands of businesses across the UK have been clobbered by sky high energy bills during one of the worst winters in living memory.

“There could not be a worse time for the Conservative Government to pull the plug on their support.  

“For many businesses this will just mean another cliff-edge months down the line - they need real, meaningful and lasting support now.”
