Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for North East Somerset & Hanham

The Local Party Executive of Bath, North East Somerset & Hanham Liberal Democrats invite applications for selection as the Prospective Westminster Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency of North East Somerset & Hanham. The constituency is a new one and was first contested in the 2024 general election, with Labour’s Dan Norris beating Jacob Rees-Mogg. It straddles four wards in the Unitary Authority of South Gloucestershire and another eleven wards in the Unitary Authority of Bath and North East Somerset, the former under the control of a Lib Dem/Labour pact and the latter under Lib Dem majority control; the constituency is characterised by both suburban and rural demographics. 

Applications must be received by the Returning Officer no later than 6pm on Friday 29 May 2026.
