Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Liverpool Walton Constituency
The Local Party Executive of Liverpool Liberal Democrats invite applications for selection as the Prospective Westminster Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency of Liverpool Walton Constituency. Applications must be received by the Returning Officer no later than 13:00 on Sunday 8 March
Liverpool Walton constituency represents the north of the city, and includes the areas of Walton, Croxteth, Fazakerley and Aintree. The constituency is home to the Aintree racecourse, which hosts the annual Grand National horse racing event.
The constituency was redrawn in 2023 and first contested in the 2024 general election. In the previous election we had a vote share of 2.6%. Locally we are aiming to gain our first councillors within the constituency at the next local elections in 2027.
We believe this constituency is a prime area for growing the Liberal Democrats presence within the city, and we are looking for an enthusiastic PPC to lead this
campaign.
To apply applicants must email the Returning Officer:
- Election Artwork (such as a political cv/manifesto) of no more than one side of A4 in PDF format, which will be used for the member mailing and e-ballot;
- Their contact details;
- A signed Candidate Statement & Diversity Form
