Content Creator for the Leader of the Liberal Democrats
Responsible to: Senior Content Manager
Salary: £30,195-£32,195
Hours: Full Time
Tenure: Fixed-term (12 months), with the possibility of extension or a permanent role.
Location: LDHQ, Westminster, London
PURPOSE OF JOB
You’ll produce compelling content - planning, scripting, filming and editing to deliver it.
You’ll have your finger on the pulse and know what works and what doesn’t on different channels.
Your work will be seen by millions, spreading the word about the work of Ed Davey as Leader of the Liberal Democrats.
Key responsibilities
- Create highly engaging, shareable social media content, developing bold ideas with the potential to go viral and cut through.
- Assist in the end-to-end production of video content, including planning, filming, and editing.
- Write and edit clear, engaging copy for video scripts, captions, on-screen text and other digital assets. You'll translate complex information into language that connects with audiences whilst ensuring accuracy.
- Stay up to date with social media video trends, tools, and techniques, and bring fresh ideas to video projects to enhance engagement and impact.
- Participate in the national digital team’s duty rota for channel management and out-of-hours cover.
Person specification
Essential
- A track record of developing successful digital content which demonstrates creativity.
- Experience of filming and editing high quality video content for social media.
- Experience of successfully managing professional social media channels.
- Understanding of the UK’s current political environment and how to engage with voters and Liberal Democrat members.
- Proven ability to work to exceptionally tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to the aims and values of the Liberal Democrats.
