  • You will play a vital role in helping us advance our goals locally and nationally, on climate change, Europe and international cooperation, housing, infrastructure and public services, and electoral reform.
  • You will be essential to the success of our efforts to grow our local party team and its operational capabilities so we can keep our area a liberal and inclusive place, and the aggressive and dishonest ideas of both Reform and the Conservatives at bay.

Who you will work closely with:

  • Our Lib Dem Member of Parliament, Olly Glover, and his parliamentary team.
  • The leaders and councillors of our county and district councils.
  • The local party executive and our large network of volunteers.
  • Party officials regionally and nationally.

Key responsibilities/job content:

  • People are everything to our success. You will play a key role in recruiting new party members and volunteers; engaging and getting the most out of our existing ones; and building team spirit and camaraderie that will create the productive, fun, and energetic team we need to run great local campaigns and win elections.
  • You will lead and have responsibility for reviewing and improving our processes for campaigns and elections across the seat, taking into account established good practice, including our key messages, printed and online materials, doorstep conversations teams, and fundraising.

What we’re looking for from you:

  1. Warmth and confidence when it comes to working with people, and particularly volunteers.
  2. Ability to lead to create a positive culture of team-working, and work well within teams.
  3. Ability to learn IT systems and packages as needed.
  4. Able to understand campaign processes and logistics, and improve them using a keen eye for detail.
  5. Willingness to build relationships locally, regionally, and nationally, including receiving feedback well and learning from good practice elsewhere.
