💰 Salary: c.£28,500 per annum (depending on experience, reviewed annually)
📆 Contract: Permanent, subject to 6-month probationary review

We’re looking for a Campaign & Communications Organiser who wants to make a tangible difference across Richmond and Twickenham, two of the UK’s most successful Liberal Democrat constituencies.
This role sits at the heart of our local team, helping to retain our two MPs, maintain control of Richmond Council, and support our London Assembly Member. You’ll drive volunteer engagement, design compelling communications, and ensure our campaign machine runs smoothly and inclusively.

Key Responsibilities
Campaigns & Volunteer Coordination
· Recruit, motivate and train a thriving network of volunteers, including deliverers, canvassers and clerical supporters.
· Lead the planning and execution of local action days, volunteer training, and community campaign events.
· Maintain high volunteer engagement and ensure resources are distributed efficiently across wards.
· Set and monitor campaign milestones (delivery targets, voter contact rates, volunteer hours).
Digital & Data Campaigning
· Support digital campaigning across social media, email, and web channels, helping shape online messaging and visuals.
· Use data insights from Connect, Lighthouse, and social analytics to refine targeting and measure campaign effectiveness.
· Manage email lists and segmentation in line with GDPR and party data protocols.
· Coordinate with regional digital teams to align on brand tone, creative and message priorities.
Communications & Design
· Design and produce high-quality campaign materials (digital and print) using tools such as Affinity Publisher or Canva.
· Draft and edit press releases, newsletters, and local social posts that highlight Liberal Democrat achievements.
· Ensure all local communications align with party brand guidelines and national messaging.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
· Build positive relationships with MPs, councillors, and local campaign leads to ensure coordinated communication and delivery.
· Liaise regularly with other campaigns' staff to share learnings and best practices across London.
· Represent the local party professionally and proactively in the community, fostering trust and connection.
Events & Community Outreach
· Deliver impactful events, community stalls, and local visits that raise visibility and engagement.
· Capture stories, photos and testimonials to bring our campaigns to life online and in print.
· Support fundraising and membership events as part of the local party calendar.
About You
Essential:
· Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
· Confidence working in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
· Proven ability to organise, motivate and coordinate volunteers.
· Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
· Creative flair and design awareness.
· Familiarity with UK political issues and alignment with Liberal Democrat values.
· Professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
· Willingness to work flexibly (including occasional weekends or evenings).
· Ability to travel across the borough (expenses reimbursed).
Desirable:
· Experience in campaigning, political communications or community organising.
· Understanding of Connect, Lighthouse, Fleet or other campaign systems.
· Knowledge of social media analytics and digital engagement tools.
· Understanding of election, data protection and GDPR.
· Local knowledge of Richmond, Twickenham or neighbouring constituencies.
How Success Will Be Measured
· Growth in active membership and campaign participation rates.
· Quality, reach and engagement of campaign communications.
· Timely delivery of campaign milestones (leaflet drops, canvassing rounds, events).
· Positive stakeholder feedback from Exec, MPs, councillors and volunteers.
