What is the purpose of this role:
During the General Election, the Email Marketing Team will be responsible for supporting our national campaign by mobilising activists to join the campaign in our target seats, raising vital campaign funds, and sharing our policies, manifesto and media highlights with our Members, Supporters and voters across the nation.
As one of our Volunteer Email Coders, you will join this team for the short campaign, using your coding skills to create engaging, dynamic and high-quality emails.
You will be a proficient HTML coder, capable of coding for email quickly and efficiently, using our house style to create visually appealing and accurate emails.
You will be comfortable with working with handlebars and other personalisation tools to create dynamic content based on audience data held within our database. You will also know what looks good on email, able to create adaptable content for different devices and viewing modes.
To support the overall function of the department, you will also ideally be able to work with data and audience lists to assist the team with segmentation and building email campaigns on our email system, assist with sourcing and editing images for content, as well as using reporting features to analyse the effectiveness of our campaigns and review recipient feedback.
Due to the fast-paced nature of the short campaign, you will be able to work quickly and efficiently, within a high-pressure environment. A good temperament to deal with the unexpected is a must.
You will have excellent HTML coding skills and a proven track record of coding clear, engaging, and high-quality emails in a quick and efficient manner.
You have exceptional proofreading skills and a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring the accuracy and professionalism of all communications, particularly when working at speed.
You are comfortable with digital tools and platforms and can navigate and utilise them effectively.
You excel in communication and collaboration, working effectively with others while working remotely.
When do we need you: We are expanding our team for the full 6 weeks of the General Election short campaign.
