Do you want to play your part in changing the political direction of our country? Have you always wanted to get involved in politics but didn’t know where to start? Are you interested in helping the Lib Dems deliver a fair deal for our country? If yes then this opportunity could be for you.

We will face a general election over the next year. The Liberal Democrats are looking to recruit a large number of National Field Organisers to support our national campaign working across England, Scotland and Wales.

During the campaign, your objective will be to activate volunteers to speak to members of the public. You will do this by setting up and running campaign sessions to deliver the Lib Dem general election message.

You will be reporting into the Campaigns Manager that covers your area and full training will be given to successful applicants.

We are currently looking for expressions of interest. Applications for working part-time are also welcomed.

We will interview candidates on a rolling basis and successful applicants will have the opportunity to take up one of our National Field Organiser roles at the start of a General Election campaign.

For questions and further details, and to submit an application, please contact: Becky.Carr@libdems.org.uk

Please apply by email attaching:

  • A copy of your CV; including complete work history
  • A Covering Letter; no more than 2 pages of A4 in length. Please also write your name on top of your supporting statement.
  • A completed Diversity Monitoring Form
  • Please indicate in your email which areas of Great Britain you would be open to working in.

Applicants are encouraged to inform us if any reasonable adjustments are needed to be made during any part of the recruitment process.

Please also send us two referees including one from your current employer (if applicable) – if you would prefer us not to contact them until a later stage of the selection process, please let us know.

We will notify all applicants when the process is complete.

Please note:  We will not be able to employ you if you are not eligible to work in the UK. We will not be able to obtain a work permit on your behalf.

The Liberal Democrats are equal opportunity employers and particularly welcome applications from groups who are currently under-represented in our staff.
