Steff Aquarone, MP for North Norfolk, is offering an exciting opportunity for an intern to join his constituency office team between August and October 2025. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in politics, community service, and public engagement.
“We believe politics should empower people. Our office exists to serve the residents of North Norfolk with compassion, integrity, and action. This internship is a chance to learn how we do that — and to be part of it.”
As an intern, you’ll gain insight into how an MP’s office operates, supporting work across casework, research, and community engagement. You’ll be part of a values-led team that believes in working hard, working kindly, and making a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the team with correspondence, casework, and research
- Helping prepare for local events and stakeholder meetings
- Attending team meetings and contributing to office projects
- Assisting with data entry, inbox management, and admin tasks
We’ll shape the role around your strengths and interests. Whether you’re passionate about local government, housing, education, climate, or simply want to learn more about serving your community — we’d love to hear from you.
Requirements:
- A genuine interest in public service, community engagement, or UK politics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised, reliable, and keen to learn
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a small, dynamic team
This internship is particularly suited to someone early in their career, returning to work, or exploring a future in politics or public life. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage expressions of interest from those with lived experience of disability, disadvantage, or underrepresentation.
