Scottish Development Officer (ALDC)
The Scottish Liberal Democrats and ALDC are recruiting a new Scottish Development Officer.
The successful candidate will help Liberal Democrats in Scotland develop their campaigning skills and their capacity to win more local elections, and support Liberal Democrat councillors and council groups in their work.
The post is full-time, 35 hours a week and will be part of both the Scottish Liberal Democrat campaign team and the ALDC team. You will report to the Scottish Chief Executive and be part of the Scottish Lib Dem team, as well as developing a close working relationship with ASLDC. ALDC employs four Development Officers to cover England and Wales, so you will be part of a wider team, enabling you to share ideas, resources and expertise.
The post will be appointed on a scale of £28,598 to £36,363, depending on experience. There is also an employer’s pension contribution of 8%.
Please contact ALDC’s Head of Development, Richard Cole (richard.cole@aldc.org), if you want further information or download a job pack here.
The closing date for this role is Friday, 10th July, with interviews on the afternoon of the 16th July.
Please note: We will not be able to employ you if you are not eligible to work in the UK. We will not be able to obtain a work permit on your behalf.
Applicants are encouraged to inform us if any reasonable adjustments are needed at any stage of the recruitment process.
Please provide details of your current salary and two referees, including one from your current employer. If you would prefer that we not contact them until a later stage of the selection process, please let us know.
We will not notify applicants if their applications are unsuccessful at the shortlisting stage.
